Chapter 6, Question 3

The concept I chose to expand upon is the topic of identifying an issue. The first step to solving a problem is to analyze and identify the issue in which is causing the conflict. According to the Boss text, identifying an issue requires clear thinking and good communication skills. There are times when two people disagree with one another and they cannot seem to make ends meet because they are focusing on the wrong issues.
In order to tackle any issue in life, you need to focus on what it is you want to achieve. It is easy to get sidetracked, so it is important to think clearly and communicate what your thoughts are. Identifying an issue is a great skill to accomplish in life. Life will give you many opportunities to use this skill, such as at work, at home and also with your friends. Identifying the issue comes with asking the right questions to really narrow down on what the problem is. After reading about this concept I have a better idea of how I can handle similar situations in life more efficiently.
